This year we discovered, much to our delight, that the tree in our front yard is actually a cherry tree!! :) Last year, it produced no fruit, so we naturally assumed that it wasn't a fruit tree of any kind... But, we've learned that Italians typically prune their trees, so our most logical guess is that our landlord had pruned the tree before we moved in last year.
We had so much fun picking cherries from our tree... and Mommy enjoyed making a cherry cobbler with the cherries. Yum!
