The Payne family went to Camp Darby in Livorno, Italy (located about 3 hours SW of our home) over Memorial Day weekend. Camp Darby is only three miles from Pisa! We stayed at Casa Toscana, the hotel on post. Ashley preached in chapel on Sunday and the other days we were there, we played on the playground next to the hotel, went to the American beach (see Italia Bella), and visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa (see Italia Bella). It was a FABULOUS trip!! We all came back well rested (the girls slept like a dream in the hotel... go figure!), relaxed, and just a tad bit more tanned than we were before.... ;0)
